Coloured Carp
wine branding
As a graduated graphic designer, I have recently begun to create branding for companies as passion projects to showcase my skills and attributes for a professional outlook.
This specific branding is for a wine company called Coloured Carp. I created this company as a Japanese winery, specialising in white wine, as it is an open market currently especially within this particular culture as Japan mainly focuses on red wine and Sake.
Within this project, I focused on the design label, the illustrations and the overall atmosphere and ambience of the wine bottle itself.

To the right is a one minute video showcasing my method throughout this project as well as the final piece.
To the left showcases the final label design, front and back.
The label itself features original illustrations and a researched summary of the particular wine, its flavour, the number of units and where the winery is located.

The fonts and typefaces used are:
Baskerville - Regular (This Serif font was purposely chosen to create an expensive feel to the wine, adjusting the kerning of this font, allows a clear and minimalistic style however keeping it elegant.)
Acumin Pro Condensed - Light (This Sans Serif font was chosen for legibility so that the label is easily read. Again adjusting the kerning to keep it simplistic and clear.)
